Usend is a digital platform developed by Pontual Money Transfer, a company licensed as MSB (Money Services Business). Established in 2007 in Manhattan Beach, California, Pontual was created with the goal of making it easier for Brazilian immigrants to send remittances to Brazil

In a highly regulated market, the company was a pioneer in working in accordance with US laws and the Central Bank of Brazil’s norms. Pontual became the most recognized money transfer brand among the Brazilian community in the United States.

In 2014, Pontual began its journey as an online platform, and today it is a digital financial ecosystem, responsible in recent years for the majority of unilateral remittances from the United States to Brazil.

In 2019, it received its first round of institutional investments from Jorge Paulo Lemann (Burger King, Anheuser-Busch, Heinz), Pier 18 Investment Fund, and digital marketing specialist Guto Cappio. In August 2021, an acquisition agreement was announced by Banco Inter, one of the fastest growing financial institutions in Brazil today.
